@sullybiker @ jack (the boss over at T) announced that T is funding a group of five people to design an open distributed social networking standard of which Twitter would be one client. Except he immediately tied in blockchains and ignored over a decade of federated socnet experience from the GNU Social, Pump.io, Diaspora, Friendica, Hubzilla, Mastodon, Pleroma communities.

twitter is great for hundreds of tweets on the same subject without actually illuminating anything.
@sullybiker I did recently see that some ToS changes were coming for YouTube users. Maybe that has something to do with it.
