I’m new to the whole “village WhatsApp” thing (as, indeed, is the village WhatsApp, which was only set up a couple of weeks ago) but is it really normal for someone to randomly post “Does anyone have Jane and Bob’s landline?” and get a public reply with the number??
I’d be pretty bloody furious if I were Jane.

Now, it’s entirely likely that the aSier and the replier and Jane all know each other, but I don’t think I know any of them, being An Outsider by a good mile or two. And the join link was just stuck on Facebook for all to see.
