The paraglider pilot who is using our neighbour's field for an airstrip has come astonishingly close to a house, trees and power lines. I'm not yet sure if they're very good at what they do, or dangerously inexperienced.

@jarofgreen @sullybiker Quite close. They had to climb very sharply on full throttle to clear the obstacles.
@sullybiker @dentangle Yeah probably the latter. Or at least if they are the former, they are also high risk taking and that's not great.
That said, are you sure they were so close? When looking at a flying thing from the ground parallax error can make it really hard to judge distances.
