The only good thing coming out of that CrowdStrike disaster will be that managers that outsourced their corporate IT will pay through the nose for support. Many of the remote machines will need to be restored manually and in person.

@sullybiker @tsturm Don't current IT folks have netboot image restores anymore? Hold F2 (or something, can't remember) at boot, computer automatically gets reinstalled from PXE server.

Sure, it'll cause some network congestion if the entire office needs to do this at once, but you'd get there.

I guess IT got enshittified since.
