An interesting musical curio is Sting's original demo for Every Breath You Take (he turned up to Synchronicity sessions with fully-formed demos of most of his stuff; the bellwether for the end of The Police). Andy Summers absolutely hated it, until he wrote *that* guitar part and the rest is history. #music
