Isn't this what Neon does already? And effectively Fedora is the gnome release flagship.

@sullybiker Neon is primarily for development of kde apps. It can be daily driven, but it's not the goal.

Fedora offer a Gnome based version like a lot of distros do. It's Fedora's flagship, not Gnome's. Fedora is also promoting Plasma to the same level with F42.

I agree with the article that lots of different distros can be confusing for new users. However the article is also written as if it's trying to create a sense of outrage that in my experience doesn't exist. It's almost like the writer had to generate some comments and clicks to justify his paycheck...
