Adding on to the fact that I like my garage because of the nice young man who picks up and drops off my car on his way to work, I’ve finally managed to coax an invoice out of them.
It covers about three months, during which it’s been in at least half a dozen times and they’ve put in (and taken out) a new battery, run numerous tests, fitted two new O2 sensors (£250 a pop), stripped and cleaned the brakes, and done something I don’t understand but hopefully effective that involved disassembling the gear box.
It is for £650. “Oh, I knocked off a bit of labour but I’m afraid I can’t do anything about the parts.”
@Flick That's not too bad for all that, especially transmission work.
@Flick Booo, it's a funny thing about garages
