For some reason, whenever I work on art assets for a game, I tell myself "just do the most basic version", but my brain rebels and will spend hours on parts of a background.

"Fuck working on the plot or puzzles," my brain says, "This section of the grocery store needs to look PERFECT before I let you do anything with it."

@sullybiker I feel like actual development moves at a snail's pace. But then, I'm also subconsciously trying to compensate for my decade or so when I avoided game development completely.

An empty Itch.io page hurts.

@sean You're doing it now, when you were ready to. That's the important thing. Don't worry about the pace. Good things take time.
