I'm sadly unsurprised that the striking miners in AL & KY have gotten very little acknowledgement from the so-called left. They're rural, they work in a polluting industry, they probably watch NASCAR, and look they might have voted for Trump...so fuck 'em, amiright?
The difference in coverage between the Warrior Met strike and the Amazon union drive is, to my mind, very telling. Amazon is hip, coal mining not so much...& we wonder why we're so politically impotent, smh.

@GuerillaOntologist RW media is well aware of this and exploits it regularly. Part of the issue has been politics-as-a-brand; virtually nobody is about class struggle, it's all posturing to their urban dinner party mates.
