I once coded a mirror into a video game, and what I basically did was made a copy of the room and copy of the character, then controlled the copy while you moved around. I know other games like Super Mario 64 used the same solution, and I think it’s weird something so basic had to be coded so unsemantically. A proper solution like using shaders is even more complicated. So in conclusion, mirrors are complicated.

@alex This reminds me a little bit of the video screens in HL2/source, they were implemented as a hidden room on the map. So weird the little tricks devs have to come up with to make visuals work.
