There's something right about a classic Ferrari at Mugello. The 412T2 was the last V12 in F1, and the first Ferrari tested by the great Michael Schumacher. It was designed by John Barnard. https://youtu.be/Md-e4c3PSvI
The V12 had inherently low mechanical efficiency due to internal friction, but Schumacher liked this because the off-throttle braking effect was strong. He did not like the new V10 so much, despite Barnard explaining it was because it was a better engine.
