There's something right about a classic Ferrari at Mugello. The 412T2 was the last V12 in F1, and the first Ferrari tested by the great Michael Schumacher. It was designed by John Barnard.

The V12 had inherently low mechanical efficiency due to internal friction, but Schumacher liked this because the off-throttle braking effect was strong. He did not like the new V10 so much, despite Barnard explaining it was because it was a better engine.
