I know enough about VMware and virtualization to get by and get quite a bit done, at least for the smaller systems I tend to work on.
But why does updating hosts and shit seem so unintuitive to me? Is it just me?
@Finner It's got a lot of moving parts. Updating any one is harder than it should be.
@sullybiker yeah, applying the patches and updates to esxi. It seems there is an easy way via vCenter, but in a single host system where vCenter is running on the host, that doesn’t work. Haha. I guess I need to read up on applying the patches via command line.
