@Andromeda @Curator@mastodon.art I often throw my 50mm on my Canon EOS because I enjoy the simplicity of fixed focal length. I've heard very good things about the X100 series, most people seem to report they get one as a standby camera and never stop using it.
@Andromeda yes I reached a point with editing where I feel if I'm doing too much I didn't get the shot right. It's usually some minor curve work or sharpening.
@Andromeda I still suffer a bit from lugging a DSLR about, hence liking the plastic 50mm lens (it keeps weight and size down) and I have never liked the feeling of something dangling from my neck!
@sullybiker They're brilliant little cameras. I got to the point where the size of my gear was preventing me from actually using it. The rangefinder form-factor and Fujifilm's brilliant color science (I don't really enjoy editing; everything I do now is essentially straight out of the camera) sold me on the x100v, and I have not been disappointed. But apparently it's significantly more difficult to get them now than when I got mine, unfortunately!
