The good thing about being sick is that I have time on my hands to game. So my partner gifted me #DeathStranding which I watched him play on the PS4 in 2020 right at the start of our relationship, and now it's my turn on the #SteamDeck.

I knew what kind of game to expect, but I still did not expect how quickly it pulled me in. Just... walking, exploring, trying to find the best route from point A to B with the least danger... it's strangely relaxing and calm. Really enjoying it!

Obviously it also can feel really tense when you have to cross BT territory and the scanner is just going off the rails no matter which way you turn 😂

Had some real stress moments yesterday when I had to bring stuff to the Windfarm and in the end just frantically climbed a nearby cliff to get out of dodge.

But all in all it really is way more chill than I expected. There's this German word "entschleunigen" for slowing down in our fast lives, and that game somehow feels like it. It's odd.

I just love how #VideoGames create moments like this one.

I just made my way up a steep mountain range, through a BT invested mountain pass, all the while in strong rain. Multiple stops to repair my rusting cargo, and to find a clear way. Tense moments on slippery terrain with the BT sensor constantly beeping, the back full of precious cargo.

Then, out of BT territory, pass height, rain stops, music starts, and I see the destination of my journey down in the valley. Epic.

#DeathStranding

@foosel This is. title I really enjoy watching. The world is so atmospheric, it's soaked in it (and not just timefall...)
