This is due to the Atlantic plume being knocked about by the Arctic air through the Iceland gap. Instead of a direct collision, we have the warm air hitting the cold air at 90 degrees. This could push to Toronto, where we have no more room for snow…

@hasmis I'm the other side of the lake South of you and we've had record low snowfall. I think Erie got the usual absurd amounts but we got nothing.

@sullybiker that last storm was all rain south of the lake. All the snow is in the collision zone.

@hasmis The rain was intense. I'm glad it wasn't the white stuff. It would have been chaos.
