I’m new to the whole “village WhatsApp” thing (as, indeed, is the village WhatsApp, which was only set up a couple of weeks ago) but is it really normal for someone to randomly post “Does anyone have Jane and Bob’s landline?” and get a public reply with the number??

I’d be pretty bloody furious if I were Jane.

@Flick When I go to some shops here like the local bookstore, the membership is tied to phone number, so I have to give out my number to the whole fucking queue
