1. I was once again correct about the San Francisco 49ers continuing their choke artistry in championship games but what I didn’t realise is that it’s exactly 30 years since they last won in the Super Bowl.
2. One of my favourite albums of all time – Taking Back Sunday’s “Where You Want To Be” – will be 20 years old this year. So too will Green Day’s “American Idiot,” Slipknot’s “Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses),” Linkin Park & Jay-Z’s “Collision Course,” and Senses Fail’s “Let It Enfold You.”
Time truly waits on no one. Not a single soul.
And I turn 38 tomorrow, which is the most poignant birthday I’ve ever had given I’ve been dealing with cancer for the last three months or so (post-diagnosis).
@theauracle Oof. Been there mate. How's the prognosis? You started treatment?

@theauracle I had a similar experience with a biopsy taking a long time (travelled around the country...) to get the genetic composition, but that led to successful treatment. I hope it is the same for you.
@sullybiker Did radiation treatment in January. Chemotherapy is still on deck but we’re not sure when that will start as we still need the labs to confirm whether or not the presence of a certain protein in the biopsy samples taken via a craniotomy in late November exists. If it does, I’ll get more targeted treatment options. If not, a more generalised form of chemo will be the basis of the treatment plan going forward.
I meet with my specialist in NYC next week and I have an MRI on Friday.
