Fortunately I don't need any urgent work done myself, but I also can't get an NHS dentist. My employer will reimburse dental care through a salary sacrifice scheme, but that requires me to a) find a private dentist, b) ensure they aren't shite, & c) have money up-front to pay for initial checkup & hygienist visit. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@sullybiker correct. I moved back to the West Country where I grew up after the Brexit vote in 2016, and I haven't been able to register with a dentist since then.

It's a good job my parents made good use of free NHS dentistry when I was a teenager and I still have good chompers, or this would be a miserable situation.
