BBC Scotland has been criticised after broadcasting an interview with a man who claimed his child knew they were transgender before they could talk. The father also questioned the legitimacy of the Cass review, which earlier this month recommended puberty blockers should not be prescribed to children.
The practice was immediately ditched in England with Scotland following suit this week. The decision has angered members of the transgender lobby but has been supported by campaigners who have questioned giving the drugs to those under the age of 18.
