from our US trip I still most vividly recall Las Vegas because it was so insane. I disliked it at first, but it really was fascinating to see top capitalism. I wanna go again in a few decades maybe.
Vegas is like going into Walmart or Graceland. It's over the top but kind of fun until you need to run off to a peaceful green field somewhere.

The theme seems to be "maybe you'll be a millionaire in a few minutes, but more likely you just gambled away your house" from what I recall.
@corruptian @kaia It is the strangest place I have ever visited in my life. I was there for an AWS thing which made it even weirder.
@corruptian @kaia It was also the week I started to feel the affects of the cancer I would be diagnosed with, so it is an intensely negative memory, the whole thing.
