we can get policy from a website. a debate that is more of a discussion can allow us to see how these people reason and their base values. whose concerns are they focused on and how do they incorporate other perspectives? can they compromise? are they too careful because of their donors? this is what we should be looking at to make our decision. the bills they want might not make it to their desk. for an executive, situations are constantly changing. especially with foreign policy.
