yesterday I made a bad decision even though I know better and spooked my dog and she ran away into the fenceless front yard, leashless.

I was impressed though because neither of us humans ran after her we just stood still and calmly called her after grumbling at one another for poor human decisions and... she came right home. she ran up high to nuzzle my nose because I spooked her. sorry girl. even after years of playing the gotcha game, my fault 100%.

@xantha They usually surprise when they get away. First time my very nervous dog bolted out the open front door (he saw the neighbor over the road) he went over there, sat in front of her and stared, then came right back.
