When the polls told them so.
Once upon a time, polls consisted of polling companies making thousands of random phone calls - a spoonful of a mixed soup of us.
Now polls are big biz and more cheaply conducted by renting panels from companies that gather respondents who opt-in to joining up - a spoonful of a possibly very unstirred soup. We just don't know.
@AlisonCreekside @gemelliz @Norlaine I don't trust them at all. They've become like stock market gurus...bullshit and fuzz. I have never forgotten on the morning of Trump's victory HuFFPo declaring 98% confidence in a Hillary landslide. It's all bollocks.
