The next Women's World Cup will be streamed on Netflix. Some are saying this is bad because it puts the sport behind a paywall. But more than half of the matches in the 2023 WC required an expensive cable subscription. As of right now, the number of subscribers of cable & Netflix is essentially equal in the US, and by 2027 Netflix should be ahead. So it looks like MORE people will have access this time around.
Granted, that ignores the OTA broadcasts. So, how do you TV?

@anakin78z It's now the reality for most sport, unfortunately. It is in that sense better for the WWC, because at least they have full coverage.
