Waiting in Malaga at the baggage carousel. Nobody told us that if we're checked from the US we're on a completely different area, so the bags would never come on this belt, which we figured out after about, oh, 40 minutes.

Dublin Airport, around five in the morning. Absolutely deserted, the only people were from our flight. I couldn't even get a coffee. I had the novelty of getting back on the same aeroplane I'd arrived on. This would repeat coming back.

Somewhere off the coast of Ireland, descending toward Dublin. Everyone's awake and the mood lighting is trying to match the sunrise.

Early 2018 I went back to Spain via Dublin to see my dad. This was the weather leaving Pittsburgh. Fairly typical Spring afternoon.

Coming back from Los Angeles via Phoenix, I snapped this picture of the traffic jam waiting to get on the runway.

Back in Manchester over the other side of the airport, this arriving China Airlines Freighter makes a little spray on the wet runway.

The following Winter Virgin Atlantic heavies arrive at heathrow in crystal clear january skies. Myrtle Avenue is a little cul-de-sac right under the approach to 27L at LHR. The arrivals are about every two minutes.

American Airlines 767-300 on it's way to (I think) Chicago, from a wet and gloomy Manchester. You can see the vortices spooling off the wingtip and the vortex generator on the engine nacelle.

This was on a flight down to Capetown, back in 2005. Somewhere over North Africa.

This was the Spring before, with the tow happening. The aircraft arrives early morning, and it's pulled back from the gate to a quiet area at the heavy maintenance where it's made ready to go home later that evening.

Back when the perimeter road was just a regular through-road and open to the public, you could see the maintenance hangars where heavy jets would be towed in the morning, left to air out all day before their evening trip home. Despite the sun, this was winter and it was very cold.

Balcon de Europa, Nerja, Andalucía August 2010. The crushing humidity gives way to a cool sunset breeze as night rolls in.

Toronto's Pearson International, on the way to Pittsburgh, a short hop over Lake Erie, on a little DHC-8-100 bug smasher.

London Heathrow, Terminal 3 departures. I stopped outside for a smoke, put the camera on the ground and pressed the shutter button.

Traveling to LHR from Southampton for my flight to the US, one of many I'd made that year. It was 0143, Roxy Music's 'More than This' was playing on the bus radio.

Mincing Lane, London, Feb 2008. The tightly-packed nature of central London (looking towards The Gherkin) is well displayed. Everywhere looks like this in that part of town.

St. Mary's Annex ('The Gherkin') City of London, Feb 2008. The polarizer has taken the glare off the windows creating that weird matte effect.

Hays Galleria, London, September 2004. I always liked this spot. The River Thames is behind me.
