The seafront at Swanage. It was cloudy and cold, and honeslty I would not have had it any other way, because that's how I remember the seaside back home.

Fleet St. & Farringdon St, on my way into Soho, around 6pm.

@LifeTimeCooking Everything London had to offer. My favourite was as usual Lebanese. And fish'n'chips by the seaside.

@LifeTimeCooking I was in the UK last month (my homeland) and had so much food, it was wonderful.

@LifeTimeCooking I remember spending it with an Indian ex's mother, who treated me as if I might die of starvation at any moment. It was exhausting and delicious.

As it's work purchased it has to have certain things installed, which limits distros. Annoying but that's the situation.

I don't think I ever got it working in Arch. It's just a camera, but still. Supposed to be fixed in 6.10.* But it ain't.

And while you don't *need* an OEM install from the factory, some of the newer ones have some very picky hardware. The XPS 13 9340 we tried only had camera support with some Dell PPA enabled and Ubuntu 22.04. Upgrading to 24.04 broke it again.

Their configurator didn't allow linux without some insanely expensive spec, so I will probably throw a distro on there as soon as I have time

Got a replacement Dell 16" precision for my old one which died just out of warranty. Dell somehow made it even bigger and heavier, which is impressive. It's like billet steel.

It'll come round in about 3 days at this rate.

3 weeks ago today I was out in the West End seeing Coogan's Dr. Strangelove. Time goes so fast.
