just saw a crow carrying a fully intact cool ranch dorito. a welcome omen that predicts a bountiful harvest

@Andrii@we.1being.org But I love the ability trail cams give to see into the world of wildlife. It's amazing.

@Andrii@we.1being.org I get it, I used to watch the rabbit population in the field behind my house; at times the numbers neeeded managing because unchecked they did a lot of damage.

Epic restaurant review: “I’m not talking about a meal that’s poorly cooked, or a server who might be planning your murder—that sort of thing happens in the fat lump of the bell curve of bad. Instead, I’m talking about the long tail stuff – the sort of meals that make you feel as though the fabric of reality is unraveling.”

Arguably the problem with computers is that programmers have written too much code

@why I will grow concerned the day I read otherwise

@lightweight YOu can guarantee that every WiP project is dead, most talented staff are sacked or redeployed, and the middle and senior manages will gladly wield the axe to save their own skin, which ironically doesn't work. The customers don't matter at all.

@lightweight Usually it's all about bilking as much of the core product of the acquisition as is possible, while strangling the rest.

@lightweight Firing half the employees and asking the rest to "...work smarter, not harder" is a proven strategy. For something.

I used to look at P/O Barton's photo and biography at RAF Elvington when I volunteered there. It was always a bit weird, we were the same age and It used to make me think how different times were. I was a typically hedonistic 22yr old, he flew back on his own from Nuremberg and died in the grimy yard of some coal mine in the darkness.
