This is a very good read (big thanks to @nolan ) that articulates some of the experience of the last few days.
@feld I don't know. I do like to think it is the worst.
@bnys I guess it would come down the application's taskbar support, and how that maps into Waybar.
@bnys I am not sure. You could ask over at the Arch forums, there's usually someone that would know there.
It is not unusual to get a brand new server fail on a big feature update. Good luck troubleshooting it.
It is still surprising to me after a decade looking after these things just how fragile Windows Updates can be. They break *constantly*.
@bnys I wanted to Mimic it on my KISS linux laptop but holy shit dependencies. I'll work it out when I have the time.
@bnys I really like the implementation on the Reform. It's very pretty.
@nolan It reminds me of that sentiment that sometimes in life the worst thing that can happen to you is getting what you want.
@nolan This is a really well-written and thoughtful piece.
@nolan It's going to be a tough few weeks. I see flame wars and forks in our collective future, because I truly believe the influential elite from the other place basically want to recreate it.
ICYMI: Sepultura's Eloy Casagrande covers Metallica's 'Battery' in an absolutely eye-watering interpretation.

Enjoyed this breakdown of early Larry Mullen Jr's style on some big U2 songs. He said in 2011 that he was basically an amateur and would not have made some of these choices with more formal training. Funny how that works.
