@HebrideanHecate @TriptychTwinsRidesAgain I always felt bad for them. They didn't go back to much and if they fought under British command the soviets chucked a lot of them In prison. Same with the Czechs.

@solene If I had to sum up the experience it would be "You don't need any of that shit"
@thomasfuchs The Windows 98 startup sound will never cease to invoke deep nostalgia in me.
@solene It reminds me of the things I loved most about Linux when I first learnt about it.
@solene If you follow the documentation and philosophy, things make a lot of sense with OpenBSD, it lacks the utter chaos of modern consumer computing where everything is vast and complicated for no good reason.
@solene Similar to my experience with KISS Linux there's an order and simplicity to things that is very charming once you get used to it. I have stuck to the base install with CWM and have enjoyed playing around with it and making it work.
Spending.a week with #OpenBSD is making me hate nearly all contemporary software. I'm kind of into it, honestly.
@Gelatinousrube Oh no. That's a good plan. Cut the losses, it'll just eat her money for no gain.
