The weather forecast is better this week, however this morning brought the first hard frost. A coating of ice on everything outside. It's only a couple of degrees below freezing, but that's all it takes. Frost is rare here. Midwinter, it is too dry.

Nobody's been done on that for a long time. FIA must be really cracking down on it as this was the focus of the recent TD.

oof Charles and Lewis up for plank measurement infractions. Historically that's a slam dunk DQ. Shame.

The wind howling through my windows this morning. Haven't heard that in a while. Leaves *everywhere* foreshadowing one of my least favorite November jobs.

Track limits abuses are really taking the piss Academy.

F1TV really giving the full broadcast treatment to Academy. I hope it encourages people to watch the feeders. FREC is free on YouTube and you can follow Garcia next year. FREC is about halfway between F4 and F3 (but pretty close to F3).

Problem with a file server on Friday. "Down it and do the maintenance on Sunday" says my boss. Oh, okay then.

Once I remembered how to muddle through getting the firmware sorted out (intel iwx) it was typically unfussy and straightforward. Every release of seems to make huge strides on all the quality of life things; web video playback is awesome and highly performant. It's a pleasure to use.

Rescued a Dell Latitude 7320 from the recycle pile. Thought I'd distract and procrastinate with an 7.4 install. Didn't expect to get far. It's absolutely flawless. Hugely impressed.

Had an utterly shit week and this playful jeep cheered me right up.

Sargeant was in such a state he was clearly impaired. These are extremely athletic people. Berger and Brundle we're not enclosed in their cars, did not race in the Middle East and should probably just shut up.

Felt like about a year. Usually I just put on some MJQ and zone out. Rain and dark needs total concentration as roads here can be a bit silly.

Ugh. Phone overexposed this. Gloomy and wet. I need a drink. It is 0830.

The big question I have here is: Was this to gain access to something on the vehicle deck in order to take it out? I'm no conspiracy theorist but this seems very, very odd. There was originally a 1 meter gap, enough for a diver or a small ROV, but nowhere enough to take something out.

Obviously it was cut away in order to lift it, but this was 2 years prior. Original condition as per 1997 report up until around 2019, when somebody cut it free. Nobody seems to know who.

Followed the MS Estonia tragedy a while ago, read the report, all the conspiracy theories. Interested to see they raised the bow ramp In Summer, but *most* interestingly someone had opened it from its previously partially closed position. This could only be for easier access to the car deck, to get something big in, or - intriguingly - out.

Glad I'm not one of those people that puts their keys in the car and uses the app to secure it.
