A bustling Soho on a Thursday evening, before grabbing a couple of pints and then onto the play

My ride back from London, at what would become a very foggy Heathrow. Having never been on a 787 before 2023, I've now been on them a half-dozen times. Quiet and comfortable, the higher cabin pressure is the nicest thing.

Something I enjoy about the fediverse is when you get these membership surges, because of the curated nature of your timeline, you don't really see it unless you go looking for it. This makes for a much more pleasant experience, and one the other places can't replicate. The lack of manipulated trends helps, too.

It was interesting back in England to have the same feeling return at the earlier darkness. It definitely does something to my mood, the sun going in just after 4.

Do any techie people happen to know why I'm completely unable to access the settings app on an iPad Mini with Voiceover? Visually they're there, but all Voiceover will read is the status bar and absolutely nothing on the screen. It's running iOS 14.4.2 if that matters. I can't update to the latest version because I can't access the settings, which is also why I haven't tried resetting to factory settings. This is maddening and has resulted in me hardly using the device for months.

These racist SMS messages could well be targeted from the Change breach. That would give them ethnicity and the contact details.

One morning in 2015 I met what was known as the "free sheep" - a couple of sheep that would regularly appear in the fields near my parents' home. No one knew where they came from or managed to catch them.

A year later, after a very tough winter, they had a lamb and all 3 would roam together.

Before the next winter an animal sanctuary was called and eventually they did manage to catch and rehome the family.

I still feel lucky to have met them that morning. 🐑💚
