Interesting to spot something on Street View (taking a virtual stroll around some London streets) which encapsulates a lot of feelings I have about big cities and the sort of cultural pot they create. This is Hackney. Reminds me of parts of The Old Kent Road. Trash everywhere, tiny little businesses (money transfer places..always) and gleaming new things in the background.
...They wheel it into the garage (where more than 4 crew are permitted to work on it) and it's fixed in under two minutes. Endurance racing mechanics, and the engineers that design the kit parts are amazing.
Kasprowy Wierch summit, basically in a snow cloud, although it wasn't as cold as you might think.
The cable car up to Kasprowy Wierch. It was not so cold on this occasion; the following year it was brutal (-20C/-4F) and going out was not so enjoyable.
The view out of the back of the guest house. There was a German Shepherd in the outhouse at the back, which for most of the week I believed wanted to eat me, but on the last day we became friends when she realised I offered pats.
FOSS, motorbikes, and photography.
