@foosel I had surgery on my neck and during recovery I had a lot of tooth pain, but it was all nerve trickery. Slowly it moved around the mouth and to the jaw. Get well soon, hope you don't need any further intervention.

Since I only have about 40 followers, I would appreciate as many boosts as possible as it is hurricane related. The Iphone 14 and above has the capability to send messages via satellite. You have to install IOS18 then swipe down from top right to get the utilities screen. You can then do a demo by touching the satellite icon. Evidently it only works if you do not have cell data or wifi available.

@dancingtreefrog We had someone set up a marketing material workflow using an old mac as some kind of batch server. They left and nobody knew about it for years. Until one day it stopped working.

@dancingtreefrog That poor server! At a place I worked they had some print server that had been up for around a decade that was down to the final working disk, and they were scared to ever reboot it.

Another reason to not say anything when you pick up an honest to goodness "phone call" these days: autodialers that will record your voice, profile it and turn it into an AI model, so they know which voice they need to match when they spoof a number to convince your mom to send $5000 in walmart gift cards.
