@dividedsky I rebuilt my old GNUsocial instance as Masto back in 2018. I had to completely start over.

It takes a lot of time, there's no search (feature, not a bug) but it should be easier now because there are so much greater numbers of people. In the Web client (or Tusky if you use that) always use the federated timeline, this is the wider world and you'll find a lot of people.

Well, #westworld got cancelled. The last season was the strongest in a while, but the show foundered in LOST territory around mid-season 1, and since LOST you can't do that anymore.

How long before we see the first automated blocking tool that farms blocklists? How Long before feature requests turn up on Masto's GitHub to integrate things into the ActivityPub implementation?

So we've already seen an instance-wide search engine. There will be more of this shit.

It is important to recognize where the demand for these things come from. A whole bunch of people came over from Twitter, the big #numbers accounts. They were at the top of the food chain, and they see themselves as the same here. For them, nothing has changed.

They will push for anti-features that ensure they can game the platform and remain at the top of the tree.

Jeepers my main has just gone crazy this last week. I will need to look at that at some point. I like a readable experience.
