@adamshostack Infosec has a lot of weird social tics that can make the community seem like hard work.

@stux My instructor back in England always used to say "look at the gap" when getting nervous between cars. The normal tendency is to look at the car you're worried about hitting, which will cause you to move towards it...

@xor It's massive. And you miss it on other things.

@stux There's a certain advantage in being higher up in larger vehicles. If you're new to driving the spatial awareness takes a while to develop. You always think the vehicle is much wider and longer than it is.

I mean AI would happily take responsibility for murdering us all, and enjoying a coke and a smile while it's at it.

I keep seeing a lot of researchers discussing responsible AI but this seems to be putting the cart before the horse. The people that create it need to be responsible first.

@HayleyMulch I did the Victory years ago and it was great. There's also a submarine over in Gosport (you take the water taxi from the Harbour) and that's cool too.

@HayleyMulch They're lovely photos. It's nice down there, they did a lot with the waterfront.

The fresno lab story is horrendous. What the hell were they doing?

@tess That's the right way to look at it, for me.

I saw what was basically an infomercial on the news the other night. That should not be possible. I come from the UK and the Beeb for their faults at least have standards they're supposed to follow. It is shocking to me the level of editorialising and blatant commercialism I see on US news.

Fresno lab, medical

@checkervest German accent, obviously
