From the bridge of HMS Belfast. The Guns are aimed at Watford Gap Services, several miles away. I don't know what they did to upset HMS Belfast, but the cafe is a bit of a dump.

You all know where this is. It's also a nice memory as I lost my return ticket that day (I think I lifted it out of my inside pocket with my phone) and the lady at Waterloo gave me a free ticket on the basis that I did not mention losing anything but she thought my request to buy a single sounded a bit odd as the return wasn't much more expensive.

Lots of textile shops, sportswear, fruit and veg. When I came here I had an idea about weekly shopping at the market but honestly it's very expensive.

Like the Docklands in London, the industrial zone of the Strip is dying, replaced by apartments and up-market restaurants. There's still a lot of the past there, though.

Slightly hot on the highlights but I like painted brick signage. This is from the Strip District. I think there are apartments here now.

Downtown from the mount, a very common aspect; I quite liked this one from nearly 12 years ago. Haven't been back at night for some years.

It was taken with an EOS 20D & Sigma 20-40 2.8 EX DG, just used the handrail as a rest.

It's unregulated and full of money, of course there's theft everywhere.

One born every minute.

Hopefully this FTX thing will quieten all these crypto arseholes, but I doubt it.

Mercedes have suspended their sponsorship deal with FTX. This usually happens because of a breach of contract, either payment or reputation.

I notice there's a parallel with a lot of open source things when it comes to the Fedi. You have to learn to deal with the shortcomings, because the strengths are often very, very good. But you have to dog food it. Use it constantly, don't be distracted by the convenience of proprietary solutions. Learn the other ways.
