Sweltering hot drive home from work yesterday; where the sun came through the windscreen it was like a death ray. This morning was cool and damp and I just had the window cracked slightly and this chilled and slightly moist air was seaside fresh. We're going to cop it later though ☀️

No matter how many times I am at the dentist I still get deeply anxious on emcountering the sounds and smells in the place.

I know it's not new, but seeing local news doing a feature on Adobe Photoshop (there's a new release) is really icky, and just reinforces that news is another marketing channel.

I'd forgotten that when the weather gets hot the climate control in my car offers either 'ARCTIC' or 'HELL'

All week chasing VMware cluster problems. It'll now roll onto Monday. It always sucks when things fail in ways so subtle the fault tolerance doesn't catch it and you need to start pressing buttons.

People only talking about Janelle Monae in the context of her getting her tits out doesn't really feel like progress to me.

Enjoyed this post-salvage slideshow of the Costa Concordia. Some of it looks exactly how you'd imagine, but there's weird things like all the exercise equipment that either didn't move at all or very little.
