Going flat out for 24 hours (3 flights, just got home) sat down and treated myself to a beer. "So, you want to slow down" is clearly how my body read this. Help.

@Gelatinousrube Also putting a pull handle and wheels on gigantic cases doesn't make it cabin baggage. If a flight is even slightly full it runs out of overhead space because people seem to need to bring half their house with them but don't want to check it. This causes frustration and delay. They used to be very firm on this, but have given up because everyone does it.

Although I did enjoy the tinting windows on the 787. They replicate night time on a long daylight flight (going West transatlantic) it is nice for napping.

I used to love travel when I was younger. It's just miserable now. And it's all human factors.

@aral I never once thought about the fedi (even in the gnu social days) like "I wish this thing would do half a billion users with no issues." That kind of thinking is growth obsession dressed as an attractive engineering challenge.

The TSA has essentially failed in it's madnate and appears unable to manage. For such an expensive agency that is a puzzler...

@aral This is a bit of a disease in tech. The obsession with scaling and solutionising every damn thing.

Newark is such a badly run airport I don't even know where to start. It has the feel of a panicked population fleeing an alien invasion.

@claudiom I will never forget finding my wallet while holding my phone having just called the banks to cancel all the cards.
