@Juju Yeah that is shite. I wonder if it's just cheap glue. I don't know why they can't just stitch them in but then again I don't know how to make shoes so 🤷

@thecoopsters@angrytoday.com @Effortless@noagendasocial.com "Who should we have run it?"

"Uhm, have you got any pictures of young Fidel? Start there?"

@Juju All of mine do this at some point (I get the shoes) It's an annoyance. Not as annoying as the teflon laces but nevertheless you don't expect it at that price.

@shengokai@zirk.us Often you'll hear "Don't like it? Build your own" With the unspoken 'loser' at the end.

@shengokai@zirk.us It's even worse than that. He who builds often rules the roost. There's two big FOSS projects that are great examples; one of them is Mastodon.

WTFs and Trash Takes, not for everyone.

@Ask_aubry@mas.to I don't know how someone can contradict themselves within one sentence and think it impresses anybody.

@roseveleth@xoxo.zone A lot of this is Twitter's collective obsession with labelling. The hysteria grows in a simplistic narrative. People are complicated, even Elon Musk.

@Andromeda I still suffer a bit from lugging a DSLR about, hence liking the plastic 50mm lens (it keeps weight and size down) and I have never liked the feeling of something dangling from my neck!

mental health, agoraphobia, exercise

@Juju nice one.

@Andromeda yes I reached a point with editing where I feel if I'm doing too much I didn't get the shot right. It's usually some minor curve work or sharpening.

@Andromeda @Curator@mastodon.art I often throw my 50mm on my Canon EOS because I enjoy the simplicity of fixed focal length. I've heard very good things about the X100 series, most people seem to report they get one as a standby camera and never stop using it.

Safari, which I generally enjoy using, runs like total dogshit in this release. Nice one, .

Because everything just works on Apple the update to Ventura broke Spotlight. I'm increasingly of the opinion Apple do barely any QA of their releases, because you'd find this in about 10s.

@ShinobuRespecter@freecumextremist.com This is like detention in The Breakfast Club

@cirriustech @lottiekins There's a diverting 90 minutes about the recording of that album (I used to have it on VHS haha) it's pretty good.

@cirriustech @lottiekins The music industry was and is incredibly conservative in thinking.

@lottiekins @cirriustech It was the most radio friendly track on an album already considered very radio friendly (listen to how they sounded just 3yrs earlier....) and it took a while for people to come round. It was the same year pretty much everything changed with Nirvana though so most bands had to adapt.
